Good god let me give you my life

Yes I am going to start titling all of my posts with lyrics of the songs that I'm currently listening to. 

Designed with the thought of 'most expensive Sims wallpaper' in mind

Went for a more believable look. Thought of creepy old house

Grimed it up. 

(Hopefully this GIF works) I created this GIF to show the workflow and layering of my textures, I did start with the wallpaper (and it wasn't scratched to shit either) then worked backwards however I have designed this in the order to show how I imagined the wall to be built up. 

I had a lot of fun playing around with the textures for this, it was entirely self indulgent. I got all of the textures from CGTextures, I altered the grime layer slightly and did a little paint over whilst the blood layer was entirely (and badly) hand painted. BUT IT WAS JUST FOR FUN YO. I was a little dubious about researching blood splatters, I've researched some freaky things in the name of art including vagina tumors, but I do draw the line at legit crime scenes.  

Anyway..........

I imagined a little scene with an old hospital bed and more blood. I made a bed and put it together, edited a floor pattern, then took some render shots and Photo-shopped them with an Amnesia theme in mind. Oooooo

It was nice to just have some fun with textures and seeing how my imagination ran from a basic wall to a rather Gorey scene, I'm not even worried.
