I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE #3

It's sad to say that this is probably as far as it will go until I return from 'up north'. My main goal this project is to be 'realistic' about my time spent and I can't go beating myself up about not finishing this before holiday because I have a million other things to be doing in-between work before the 5am start Monday.

So to evaluate my progress so far I would say overall I am pleased and think that I am so close to the complex detailing stage. I am not sure if it's my tired eyes or my spazzy drawings but the scale of the wooden section is looking too long at the moment and the brick section needs to be longer. Everything else I am happy with. I am convinced my holes in the side panels need to be larger but I'm going to just tackle that later on. I've deliberately left the left side out because I can mirror a lot of the work on this including the front and rear upper panels.

The hard part it going to be the engraving. I'm going to watch a few more organic tutorials whilst I'm away to get a clear mind before tackling the floral engraving next weekend.

I think that's about it. I have little bits all over the joint but have cleaned up my file a little bit so I can return easily. I'm so bloody excited to go and see family! Woooooo! Whilst I'm away I have planned a little list of work that I CAN be doing because I don't think I would cope not squeezing in some work.

Holiday to do list:

Finish Haroun and the Sea of Stories
Make a list of interesting characters
Make some sketches of characters
Make notes about the book and characters
Observational life drawing in architecture sketchbook
Watch the videos required for CS
Research the architectural periods Mark sent in email

Well... see you in a week blogalog. Love you x
